Eid ul-Fitr, often simply referred to as Eid, is one of the two major Islamic festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid ul-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, immediately following Ramadan. The festival is a time of joy, gratitude, and festivity for Muslims. It begins with the sighting of the new moon, and its celebration typically includes communal prayers, feasting with family and friends, giving of gifts and charity (known as Zakat al-Fitr or Sadaqat al-Fitr), and wearing new clothes.
Eid ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is another major Islamic holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham in Judeo-Christian tradition) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. However, before Prophet Ibrahim could sacrifice his son, God provided a ram to sacrifice instead. Eid ul-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, which all Muslims who are physically and financially able are required to undertake at least once in their lifetime.
Al Mutaallim is a pure religious educational institute that is beyond linguistic, racial, regional, and sectarian prejudices and aims to provide QURANIC along with other Islamic principles. Through this we have an ambition not only to grasp full knowledge of the message given by ALLAH ALMIGHTY but also to preach it by adopting themselves accordingly.
